Heirloom English Tudor

This 1928 English Tudor in Mountain Brook holds generations of stories within its walls — the kind of home that doesn’t need reinvention so much as rediscovery. For this project, our goal was to honor its history while crafting a bedroom that felt deeply personal to the family who’s called it home for more than a decade. The design began with a custom four-poster bed — a piece the clients had fallen for long before the project even began — and from there, the room’s narrative unfolded. We layered antiques, repurposed favorites, and new pieces built to become future heirlooms, creating a space that feels both rooted and refreshed. The result: a room that blends Cotswold charm with the quiet drama of a modern Jane Eyre—moody slate trim, storied textures, and a timeless sense of place.
